WordCamp Dhaka 2025 Recap

After a long wait, WordCamp Dhaka came back, and it came back big! Following our visits to WordCamp Vršac, Lithuania, and Gdynia earlier this September, Dhaka delivered another unforgettable WordPress experience. The second edition, held from October 18-19, brought together more than 1,250 WordPress enthusiasts, making it one of the largest local WordCamps we’ve seen this year.

And yes, WPBakery was proud to support it as a Sonargaon Circle (Silver) sponsor – a unique sponsorship tier named after one of the most historic places in Bangladesh.

Let’s look back at some of our favorite moments from this amazing event.

WordCamp Dhaka was back after six years

The last one happened in 2019. So, you can imagine the excitement when this year’s tickets went live.
The first batch sold out in just two minutes. So many people tried to book, the site went down for a bit. But the organizing team handled it perfectly the second time around.

Total tickets sold: 1,250.

That’s the largest WordPress gathering ever in Bangladesh!

A warm welcome to newcomers

campus connect wcdhaka

This year, WordCamp Dhaka opened its doors to students for free. A big move to support the next generation of WordPress professionals.

To support the next generation of WordPress professionals, WPBakery launched a special initiative during WordCamp Dhaka 2025. As part of our ongoing commitment to the community, we gave away free lifetime WPBakery licenses to all Campus Connect students who attended the event. This initiative was designed to help students kickstart their journey in web development with the right tools, learn faster, and stay engaged in the WordPress ecosystem. It’s our way of investing in the future of WordPress in Bangladesh and beyond.

A perfect venue for big energy

Venue: Senaprangan, Dhaka Cantonment

This large, comfortable venue had everything: big halls, great sound and screens, prayer and nursing rooms, elevators, as well as lots of space to move around.

It felt like the perfect place for an event of this size.

Highlights from Conference day

October 18 kicked off with a full day of learning and connecting. From marketing to development, AI to security – the sessions covered it all.

Here are just a few standout moments:

  • Sumit Saha shared practical tips on MCP Server – developers loved it.
  • Anjuman Ara spoke about balancing work and personal life – a gentle but important reminder.
  • Major Ashif introduced Mind Mapping – a hit with those looking to think and plan better.
  • Two amazing panel discussions brought together voices from across the WordPress community.
  • Hasin Hayder closed the day with strong advice on website security.

There was also a mystery speaker at the end – yes, it was Matt Mullenweg, who sent a special message to the Dhaka community. A proud moment for everyone!

Contributor Day – giving back to WordPress

Held on October 19 at American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB), Contributor Day was all about collaboration.

People joined in on:

  • Code contributions
  • Translations
  • Documentation
  • Community building
  • Support and design

Everyone from total beginners to seasoned pros worked side by side. Some even got their contributions accepted on the same day – a real win for the local community.

The WPBakery booth – full of fun

our booth at WCDhaka

We had a great time at our booth!
Gobinda Tarafdar from our team attended in person and met with users, agency owners, theme builders, and lots of happy WPBakery fans.

Here’s what made it special:

  • Exclusive WPBakery stickers and pens
  • Massive giveaway
    • First prize: Mechanical Keyboard
    • Second prize: Podcast Microphone

415 people joined our giveaway, and the WPBakery booth stayed packed throughout the event. When the winners were announced on the main WordCamp giveaway stage, the excitement peaked.

Many visitors shared how WPBakery helped them begin their WordPress journey. Some said it was the very first builder they used and still their favorite tool for quick, reliable website creation. That meant a lot to us.

Thank you, WordCamp Dhaka

We left with full hearts, new friends, and a fresh sense of community. A big thanks to the organizers – especially Ahmed Kabir Chaion, Mainul Kabir Aion, and the entire team of volunteers. You made this WordCamp not just happen, but shine. We’re proud to have been part of this story. And we’re excited to come back for the next one.

Until then – let’s keep building, sharing, and growing WordPress. Together.
